ABANTU to train CSOs to track Adaptation Fund projects

Civil  Society organizations(CSOs) working in the  area  of  Climate Change will convene at  the  Institute  of  Local Government Studies tomorrow, Tuesday, August 15  to be  trained  on how  to track the  implementation of  the Adaptation Fund Project.


The workshop aims is to strengthen the capacities of a core group of women and men in the civil society domain on the Adaptation Fund Project and how civil society organizations can track the extent of its implementation in order to minimize climate change impacts and the disproportionate burden on the poorest and most vulnerable women and men.

The Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop is being put together by ABANTU for Development, Gender Action on Climate Change for Equality and Sustainability (GACCES) with support from Southern Voices Adaptation Fund (SVA).

The fund is meant to help developing countries build resilience and adapt to climate change.

Currently the Adaptation Fund  project is  being executed at Savelugu, Bole, Zabzugu and Tatale in the Northern Region, Bawku Municipal, Bawku West, Bongo and Builsa in the Upper East Region and Lawra, Nadowli, and Sissala East in the Upper West Region.
